Gist of the movie (The Bunkers)

The topic which I have chosen for my movie is “Bunking”, rather “Group Bunking”. It is based mainly on two groups of students who have different reasons for bunking. This movie is shot in Beacon House School System-Jubilee Campus. Firstly the back gate, school logo, parking lot, the back ally and part of the school is shown this in only to familiarize the viewer with the view of the whole school and then the groups of friends are focused in an open school ground and their different reasons for bunking are analyzed further.

The next shoot is in the school, in the classroom showing the group of friends attending their classes at the beginning of the session.

Group1 mainly bunks for fun or thrill.Group2 does it due to incomplete work and they are shown sitting in the library trying to complete their work because of less sleep they get due to excess usage of computer which includes stuff like face booking, chatting, surfing on the net unnecessarily etc.

Bunking is a major issue for all the schools head’s and needs to be stopped. Both the groups are successful to bunk sometimes but not always. Different reasons for bunking for different groups are shown and in the next scene it is shown that both the groups are caught. After this scene both the groups are taken to the principal’s office and the principal is shown to be scolding them and asking them why they do such kind of stuff which in the end will ruin their lives only.

Group 1 promised to come back in class and not to bunk any of their further classes from now onwards where as Group2 is sort of a stubborn group and due to their stubbornness and ego they remain quiet and continue with their activities.

After the scolding there comes a scene which shows that Group 1 shows up in class as promised but the other group continue with their activities. After this a class room is shown with exams taking place in which the groups who started taking classes seemed to be quite comfortable and confident in giving the paper where as the groups who continued with their activities and refused to attend classes seemed tensed.

MORAL:-Students regard bunking as a fun activity, an activity which they think makes them look good because they are going against the rules but it is only in the end that they realize that it is because of their non- serious and fun seeking attitude that they are now suffering with low marks in their exams. A proof of this is the students who mended their ways and are now academically more successful.
